American bakeries range from wholesale operations that supply restaurants to neighborhood shops that sell bread, pastries, cookies and cakes over the counter, and many of them also pour coffee. Bagel shops boil and bake on site and sell out of favorite flavors by late morning; donut shops open before dawn and are often family-run; patisseries and cake studios take custom orders for weddings and birthdays and usually need one to two weeks' notice. Ice cream parlors, gelato shops and frozen yogurt bars are seasonal in the northern states and year-round in the South and on the West Coast. Prices are posted per item, by the dozen or by the pound, and most shops now take cards and mobile payment.

Amarillo is in Texas, in the South, where summers are hot and humid, winters are short, and severe storms in spring are a fact of life; businesses run air conditioning most of the year and many open early to beat the heat. Getting around Amarillo is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across Texas's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

The goodies were amazing but honestly the store is filthy. There was dirt and grime and dead bugs all over the floor and the bathrooms look like they havent been cleaned well in weeks. While I thoroughly enjoyed their cookies and my children loved their treats the cleanliness makes me second guess buying from here. Thank you for getting back to this comment. The filth was more than 1 days worth. I appreciate you trying to lessen it but I know when something is cleaned daily and the amount of grime and dead bugs was too much.. the toilet and sink if scrubbed will wouldn't look like that. Behind the toilet was gross. You may need to revisit how its cleaned.

I have been a long time customer and have always ordered cakes and pies from Belmar. What happened to this place? I placed an order for my Thanksgiving pies over a week ago, went to pick them up the day before Thanksgiving at 4pm, I didnβt leave until around 7:30pm! There was a long line of ANGRY customers who were there long before I got there. I understand itβs a busy time but I never had this issue before. Every time a customer would ask how much longer until their orders were ready, they would say 5 mins, and each time, those 5 mins turned into hours. There were 5 employees, which included a manager, all except for one young girl with glasses were extremely rude to customers, including elderly customers!!! The girls were all standing around doing absolutely nothing while the place was a mess. A lot of customers didnβt even receive their pies and walked out. After 3 1/2 hours of waiting, I finally got my 2 pies. They looked HORRIBLE. I got a refund for one pie but in reality, I should have gotten a refund for both! I ordered 1 lemon meringue and 1 chocolate meringue pie, the pictures will speak for itself. I am sad to see how bad this place has gotten, not only the atmos

It is update time. After my great disappointment in 2025 with the quality decline at Belmar Bakery, the owner took mine and others constructive criticism seriously. On the 24th of April 2026, I purchased 2 cherry pies, a cherry turnover and an iced Barvarian pretzel. My wife enoyed the pretzel, as I the flakey, light and sweet cherry filled turnover. The pies were for a family reunion the next day. A lot was riding on these pies for myself and Belmar Bakery. I personally visited with the manager/baker who made the pies that day. She personally assured me they were chock full of cherries. Looking at the pies I could see the cherries bulging through the flakey crust sprinkled with sugar crystals. On cutting and serving the pies, they truly were full of cherries, the cherry syrup was thick and held the plentiful cherries together and the pie did not drain flat when cut. The crust was firm but flakey and the sugar sprinkles added to the texture and flavor. Each bite of the pie was full of cherries from start to finish. The improvement was absolutely delightful and the fives stars I give now are well earned by the current manager/baker, WELL DONE, I say!!!

My family has ordered cakes for the last 30 years, this year is the last. When I ordered the cake, everything was fine. When I went to pick it up, it wasnβt exactly what I had asked for so I asked for the correction. When cutting into the cake, the consistency was different and doughy. As soon as we bit into the cake you could tell that it was not fully baked. I return the cake and ended up speaking to the manager/owner who argued with me on the ingredients and the fact that she said it was fully cooked and was a vanilla cream cake and that is what itβs supposed to look like. I explained no that it made my family sick and we threw the pieces cut away. She finally gave a refund. Sadly this is the last special occasion will give Belmar business. Edit at 6:49am 08/06/24 Iβm so glad the owner responded and tried to flip the conversation. She argued with me for a good 10 minutes on the ingredients and no way they can make you sick, until a gentleman pulled up to pick up his cake. I simply stated we got sick from eating what bites we took from this cake. At no point did I say anything about raw eggs or even eggs at all. She is the one who stated βthis cake is not made with eggs, it is a
